WHS Students Win Challenge at SheTech Convention April 9
Twenty students from WHS attended the annual SheTech Convention in Sandy on Tuesday, April 9th. The conference featured hands-on workshops, a technology zone, and more than 100 industry professionals with whom to network.
This year, more than 1,000 students had lunch together, followed by a STEM challenge involving a real-life scenario of a natural disaster occurrence. Each team came up with ideas and a presentation of how they would solve the challenge by getting medical supplies into the area. We are proud to say that there were three prizes awarded, and one of our Wasatch High School groups won the challenge! Students in the winning group were Shaleese Franco, Emily Siggard, Sadie McCotter, and Marissa Willets (pictured at right).
