    Freshman Hailey Tolbert won awards in the following categories in this year's science fair competition: American Meteorological Society Award, National Oceanic & Atmosphere Association Award, and US Stockholm Water Project Award. Congrats, Hailey! Way to represent Wasatch!

  • Drew Camps-Wofford Named WHS's Kati Fischer Teacher of the Year

    Mrs. Drew Camps-Wofford is Wasatch High School’s Kati Fischer Teacher of the Year for the 2020-2021 school year. Mrs. Camps-Wofford is an excellent teacher and colleague. She has been exemplary in her contributions both during the school day and after school, working as an athletics coach and student government advisor. Mrs. Camps-Wofford is knowledgeable in her field and makes her content relatable to her students. Each learner will find the content studied in her classes relevant to their experiences. Most importantly, Mrs. Camps-Wofford recognizes each student. Her caring, fun personality makes her the perfect fit for her current teaching assignment. Please join us in congratulating Mrs. Camps-Wofford as this year’s WHS Teacher of the Year.

  • Brady Tree Awarded UCET's Innovative Teacher Award

    Brady Tree has been a Math teacher at WHSl for seven years. He has been instrumental in transforming the math department by improving student achievement through the use of technology. Brady has pioneered a math data collection system at WHS for students and teachers to track progress for each math standard. Additionally, he has facilitated a Tier III Math Intervention for students entering the high school below grade level in numeracy. Above all, Mr. Tree’s innovative leadership has provided a model blended classroom that his PLC and colleagues have successfully implemented, while continuing to improve student achievement.

  • WHS Teacher Jimmy Hansen Named Wasatch Parent Network Teacher of the Month

    We'd like to announce our WHS Wasatch Parent Network March Teacher of the Month: Jimmy Hansen. Jimmy Hansen is a phenomenal teacher. Not only does he excel in the classroom, but he accepts and exceeds expectations in many other assignments, including early morning ACT prep, Fall and Spring sports. Jimmy has a talent for effective communication and building professional but warm relationships with colleagues, students, and parents . He is a man of impeccable character. He shows passion and dedication to learning and teaching and he is one of the best at Wasatch High School. Congratulations to Jimmy Hansen and thank you to our WPN.

  • WHS Teacher Kim Foy Named Wasatch Parent Network Teacher of the Month

    Congratulations to Kim Foy, who was named the first Wasatch High WPN Teacher of the Month. Kim Foy teaches in the ELL Department at WHS. Not only does Kim excel in the classroom, but she goes beyond the mark as she nurtures and drives her students. She takes students from learning English though graduation and beyond. She has made connections with students that they will remember throughout their lives. Wasatch High School is a better place because of Kim Foy.

    Two Air Force Junior ROTC cadets at Wasatch High School have received scholarships to attend an accredited aviation university participating in a private pilot license training program in the summer of 2021.

  • Wasatch CAPS Students Raise Awareness Around Harmful Habits

    Wasatch CAPS students Casey Anderson and Tristan Robison worked with our district nurse, Liz Charles, to plan a Wasatch Wellness Informational Lunch Session for students. Any heath science student was able to sign up and attend. Our guest speakers, Heber PD Officers Brandon Russell and Steve Mecham, spoke to students about the importance of our current choices and about avoiding the long-term consequences of addiction. Thanks, Casey, Tristan, Mrs. Charles, and Mr. Sproul for organizing things. And, a huge thanks to our Heber officers for spending time at WHS today!

  • Wasatch CAPS Students Design New Ambulance Wrap

    Wasatch CAPS students Carrie Luke and Anzlei Larsen helped to design the new wraps recently added to vehicles for the Wasatch Fire District. When you notice those vehichles around town, know that Wasatch Wasps had a hand in making it happen!

  • Wasatch Alum Millie Baker At West Point Military Academy

    Wasatch Alum Millie Baker (Class of 2017) is now a senior at West Point Military Academy. This week, West Point seniors received their branch assignments. Millie was assigned to be an Armor Officer. Less than 600 women in the army are in Armor and only a handful of those are officers. Well done, Millie! Know Wasatch is cheering you on!
