    Along with this week's numbers, we wanted to share a reminder that there will be a teacher workday on Monday, Nov. 30, following Thanksgiving Break, which means students will return on Tuesday, Dec. 1. This will give our hardworking and dedicated team of educators an additional planning day, as authorized by the state to assist teachers during this unprecedented school year.     Weekly COVID-19 Update from WCSD 11.13.20

    As we share this week's COVID-19 report for Wasatch County School District, we want to continue to remind students and staff to follow the protocols identified to help prevent the further spread of the coronavirus. That includes:

    *Stay home if you feel sick or have symptoms of COVID-19
    *Follow quarantine guidance if you are exposed to someone with COVID-19
    *Wear a face mask indoors and outdoors anytime you are within 6 feet of anyone from another household; This means you must wear a face mask anytime you are around people you don’t live with (per the governor's Public Health Order from earlier this week)
    *Practice physical distancing as much as possible
    *Wash your hands with soap and water often

    WCSD Statement on Extracurricular Activities - 11.9.20

    Per the State of Emergency and accompanying executive order issued by Governor Herbert on Sunday, November 8, all Wasatch County School District extracurricular activities, including practices, rehearsals and clubs, will be suspended for two weeks beginning today, through Monday, November 23.     SCHOOL DISTRICT RECEIVES FINAL WETLANDS DETERMINATION FROM ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS IDENTIFYING 1.79 ACRES OF WETLANDS ON 63-ACRE FUTURE SCHOOL SITE

    Wasatch County School District received the official report from the Army Corps of Engineers making the final determination on the wetlands delineation, which identified a total of 1.79 acres of wetlands on its 63-acre future school site, located on the west side of Heber.     As you may know, Gov. Gary R. Herbert and State Superintendent Syd Dickson announced yesterday that Utah’s K-12 public schools will extend their dismissal through Friday, May 1. These agencies will continue to evaluate the situation to make a determination about the remaining school year.

    During the dismissal, Wasatch County School District will continue to engage in online, at-home instruction. We commend both staff and parents for their ability to adapt to a new and evolving definition of “school,” and encourage you to continue to support your student’s education throughout the dismissal. Herbert y el superintendente estatal Syd Dickson anunciaron ayer que las escuelas públicas de Jardín Infantil a 12° grado de Utah extenderán el cierre de sus puertas hasta el viernes 1 de mayo.     March 16, 2020 - Joint Statement from Wasatch County Health Department and Wasatch County School District Regarding Quarantine

    Earlier today we informed teachers, parents and students of the potential exposure to a case of COVID-19 at Wasatch High School. Wasatch County Health Department officials have instructed students and staff at Wasatch High School to quarantine at home until March 25, 2020, and monitor themselves for symptoms throughout that time. Family members of high school students and staff do not need to quarantine unless the student or staff member becomes symptomatic. Symptoms of COVID-19 include cough, fever, and shortness of breath.
