Welcome to Mr. V's Webpage.  This year I am teaching physics and will be the science tutor in the library every Wednesday night from 5:30-7:00 PM during the school year.  I have been teaching since the fall of 2004 and have been here at Wasatch High School since the fall of 2011.  Physics is a challenging but fun class that is my favorite subject to teach.

I don't update this website very frequently but information about what we are doing in class and what we have done is available on Canvas.  I encourage parents to become an observer on Canvas for their student; that way you can monitor what we are doing in class and also get the most up-to-date infromation about grades and how your student is doing in class.  Click on the following link to become a Canvas observer.   https://www.wasatch.edu/domain/2173

Your student can expect work after almost every class.  Sometimes they may be able to finish during class time but if not then they will need to finish at home.  I have found that students are most successful by keeping up in class and trying hard on every assignment, quiz, lab, or test that we do.  To help foster that success I have set my standard expectaction of 80% or higher.  Students that score 80% or higher on all of their work find themselves proficient at the end of the year.  I encourage students and parents to come in for help when it is needed.

My goal is for every one of my students to succeed and excel in my classroom.  My guarantee is that if a student  masters the essential learning standards (80% or higher on the essential content) they will be successful and pass my class.  Parents, my door is always open to you.  Come in or call me if you have any questions.

I am excited to be a teacher here at WHS!
