Dear Heber Valley Students and Parents,
On behalf of the teachers and staff at Heber Valley Elementary School, I would like to welcome you back to school. As we anticipate a unique but important 2020-21 school year, we want to share with you some upcoming dates and happenings here at Heber Valley.
Student Registration – Online registration is currently open.
All Wasatch County School District families must complete the online registration every school year. Fall registration confirms to the school that you still plan to attend, and offers families the opportunity to update contact information, emergency contacts, etc.
Our front office is open to assist you with registration, 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.; M-F, beginning August 4. If you have questions about registration, please call our front office at 435-654-0112.
Back to School Night – Digital content to be shared Aug 12-14
This is an opportunity for families to learn about what will be taking place this year in your child’s classroom, including grade-level curriculum, general expectations, and events. It is also a brief opportunity for your child to "meet" his/her teacher and view the classroom just prior to the first day of school. Our PTA will also have a message and information to sign up members and volunteers. Bus information will be shared digitally, to answer questions about bus stops.

School-wide Theme Our school-wide theme this year is based on the importance of helping ALL students learn at high levels: “Set Sail for Student Success” with an island theme. At Heber Valley we help our students reach their potential by building strong relationships of respect, good will, and collaboration with our students, staff, parents, and community as we work together for academic excellence and citizenship.
School-Wide Behavior Plan We will continue to implement our Positive Behavior Supports for all students and adults at Heber Valley. Our school-wide expectations are that all Heber Valley Eagles are Safe, Kind, and Responsible in all that they say and do. In addition, Heber Valley Elementary implements Restorative Practices and strives to support student citizenship, leadership, and service learning. View our school Behavior Flow Chart here.
Drop-Off/Pick Up Plan
Our bus area is in the back of the school, where the employee parking lot is. All other vehicle traffic will use the front lot for parking and drop off/pick up. View a map of the drop off/pick up procedure here.
Heber Valley Parent Teacher Association (PTA) We are fortunate at Heber Valley to have an active and supportive PTA. We encourage you to join the Heber Valley PTA – each year we strive for 100% of our faculty membership in the PTA, and we are hoping for 100% PTA membership from our parent population. Please watch for PTA membership information to join, or plan to join at Back-to-School night.
