Hello and Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year. I hope you have had an amazing summer even with all of this covid stuff going on. I look forward to having your student in my class. If you ever have any questions or concerns, please let me know by email at email@example.com. I can schedule appointments to meet with you on zoom, in person, or over the phone. I want to help my students all that I can. There isn't any reason your student shouldn't be sucessful in my class.
I'm available for extra help on anything Monday-Wednesday and Fridays in the morning and after school most of the time. Sometimes I will have meetings before or after school, so it is a good idea to schedule the time before-hand.
This year we aren't able to have any gluten in our classroom. Thank you for helping me out with this. Students will need to bring a water bottle to fill for water during class.
Homework is 20 minutes of reading (5 of those minutes out loud) and 15 minutes of math facts. They will also need to bring any work that wasn't finished during the school day home to finish.
Report cards now include our new grading system. Remember it is a 1-4. Some of the items on the report card, your student will be lower because we just started that subject and it will be revisited again later in the school year.
Parent's if you would like to donate supplies for the classroom, here is a list of some needed items: Hand Sanitizer, Kleenex, and Lysol/Clorox Wipes...Kleenex and Wipes are even more important when cold, flu, and covid are upon us. Other class supplies we also need colored pencils, 6" rulers, pencil boxes, #2 sharpened pencils, small student pencil sharpener with collection bin, and Kleenex (yes, I know I put that on twice. We always need more kleenex).
Notice: The items on this list will be used during the regular school day. They may be brought from home on a voluntary basis; otherwise, they will be furnished by the school.
