WELCOME TO CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION (CTE)
Career and Technical Education (CTE) provides students with technical training to prepare for a successful career. The training each student receives provides the tools needed to be successful in a job after high school and/or further post-secondary education whether technical school, two-year college, or four-year college. Each student is encouraged to explore various areas of study and to develop the essential skills to enter today's competitive job market with confidence.
Students participate in CTE training in a variety of settings and levels including middle school, jr. high school, and high school programs with post-secondary options available while enrolled at Wasatch High School.
CTE offers 67 different courses in 9 program areas and 12 Mountainland Applied Technology College (MATC) programs which provide every student the opportunity to explore a variety of career areas through high school that will equip him/her with the academic knowledge, technical and employment skills vital for entry into the workforce of the 21st century.
Wasatch School District CTE programs do not exclude or limit opportunities on the basis of color, religion, sex, age, national origin, disability, etc. Accommodations are provided to students with special needs.
