     Hello! I’m Loida Alba and I am so excited to be teaching Resource at Heber Valley Elementary this year.

     I am originally from the Philippines and moved here in Heber, Utah with my family twelve years ago.  I am married and have two wonderful kids -  Jeremy and Faith.  I love spending time with my family, travelling, writing, and working out on my free time.

     I had my first degree in Mass Communications from the Philippines and recently got my degree in Special Education with emphasis on mild to moderate disabilities. I worked in a radio station, a non-government organization and a hotel in the Philippines before my family and I moved here in Heber.  I worked at Heber Valley Elementary under the Special Education severe department for 6 years.  This year, it will be my second year working as a resource teacher to help unleash the full potentials of my students and to help them be more successful in school and to be successful individuals.  I claim that we can achieve these goals because I always believe that all kids can learn.
