I teach Filmmaking, STEM, and Cool 2 Care.  The 2021-22 school year will be my lucky 13th year of teaching. Before teaching Film, I taught 8th Grade Science and STEM here at TMS and at Rocky Mountain Middle School (Heber, UT). I taught high school science and technology before that: Earth Science at Provo High School (Provo, UT); Biology, Earth Science, and Computer Tech at Daniels Academy (Heber, UT); and Chemistry and Earth Science at San Diego High School (San Diego, CA). I am thrilled to be teaching in Heber, since I live in the community and love it here. I grew up in San Diego, am married, and have an 11-year-old daughter. I have a BS degree from Brigham Young University and an MS degree from Walden University.

We will be using Canvas to manage our learning. Course information, assignments, and current grades can be found in Canvas.

I highly encourage parents/guardians to become observers on Canvas: Signup Instructions

Cool 2 Care helps students become kindness ambassadors in our school by spreading kindness to prevent bullying. We work to create a school environment where every student feels safe, welcomed, and supported. Cool2Care ambassadors are passionate about the cause; know bullying is not about violence and aggression; able to recognize bullying, discrimination, and harassment in all forms; educated on the issues and lead by example; and willing to pay the P.R.I.C.E.: Be Prosocial by acting in ways that benefit the people around you Recognize bullying, discrimination, and harassment in all of its forms Include others and show respect for diversity Be a Confident bystander who is willing to speak up or help others when there is a problem Be Extraordinary: someone who is willing to stand up, stand out, and make it known.
