2019 SUMMER MEALS PROGRAM
SCHOOL DISTRICT SUMMER LUNCH PROGRAM
WHO: Wasatch County School District, and U.S. Department of Agriculture.
WHAT: Free lunch for kids 18 and younger (see the menu here); The program includes lunch only; there is no outside supervision of children provided.
WHERE: Heber Valley Elementary School Cafeteria (730 South 6th West – enter through rear of cafeteria).
WHY: When school is out, many students don’t have the access to the meals they rely on during the school year. To close the nutrition gap these children face during the summer months, Wasatch County School District has partnered with the U.S. Department of Agriculture to provide more than 450 nutritious lunches daily, Monday – Thursday of each week.
WHEN: Monday – Thursday through June 10 - July 18 from 12:15 – 1:30 p.m.
HOW MUCH: Any child age 18 and under may eat for free, regardless of household income or residency; adult meals are served for $3.50 each (cash only – all meals must be consumed on-site).
