Newsela is a website that publishes the same news articles at four levels of text complexity for students in grades 3 to 12, meaning it differentiates the text for you. Each article basically says the same thing but is written in a different Lexile range to allow readers with different abilities to be able to access the same information.
While we have quite a collection of media materials, keep in mind the NU Center offers additional media resources to teachers. Resources are searched for and requested from their webpage. Requested materials are then delivered to the school's library the next Wednesday. Items are available for one week and then picked up the following Wednesday.
Nutips is an online testing site ran by the State Office of Education. Teacher can use this site to give actual tests in their classes. They can also use this site for student to practice tests at home. The site can grade the test and gives the students immediate feedback.
