Dear Parents,

As we are in the beginning of this year at Rocky Mountain Middle School, we are looking for parents join the RMMS Community Council for the 2021-22 school year. Community Council is an advisory board that consists of the principal, teachers and parents. The purpose of the council is to decide how to best serve the students using money received from our school land trust. The council develops a school improvement plan and a school land trust plan by reviewing test scores and assessing the needs of the students. This is a great way for parents to be actively involved with the school in educating their children. If you would like more information, you can visit www.schoollandtrust.org.

Meetings are held four times each school year, usually in the afternoon. RMMS is in need of parents to be on our council for a 2-year term.  Instead of holding ballots, we invite all interested parents to join the school community council. If you are interested, please commit to attend all of the meetings so you are updated and informed on what is happening at RMMS with the School Land Trust. If you are interested in participating, please email brian.thorne@wasatch.edu  Our first meeting will be held on September 20th at 3:30pm.

We appreciate your support of our schools. We are excited for these changes are doing everything we can to make sure students have a wonderful experience.

    Thank you

    Brian Thorne
