Student success is the goal of every staff member at RMMS. We believe with our new structure and dedication to high-quality, research-based best practices, every student will learn to their full potential. We are prepared to offer time and support through the RTI Model; a three-tiered approach to instruction /intervention:
- Tier 1- Classroom teachers will use a variety of strategies within their classroom to address individual instructional needs. (Regular Classroom)
- Tier 2: Based on assessment data, students who are unsuccessful in Tier 1 will be provided additional research-based interventions. Content Teams will monitor student progress and monitor interventions as needed. (Tier 2 Instruction is provided during Stretch Time, which is Wednesday and Thursday, 10:00-10:31. Students are either assigned to - or can choose to - attend various classes based on need or interest, with the goal being 100% of our students mastering the Essential Skills identified by their teachers to ensure further success).
- Tier 3: Students who continue to struggle in Tier 2 will receive more intensive interventions, such as additional support classes and/or teacher mentors.
- Additional Support: Monday Consultation Time, 1:20-2:20, is a time set aside for any student to get additional help, as well as time for parents to meet with teachers. No appointment necessary.
My family has lived by a motto that I believe is very relevant in school and in life: Harvard Education, Army Discipline, and Disneyland Fun. I ask for your support and participation in this effort by sending your child to school every day on time, encouraging him/her to always do their best, monitoring weekly homework and progress through SIS and Canvas, and asking your child to share what they learned at school each day. To support our motto, we have teamed up with Slim and Knobby’s to give away a Specialized Mountain Bike as well as many other wonderful prizes throughout the year to support our Cool2Care and 212 programs.

Update Regarding School Dismissal from WCSD
March 24, 2020
To Our Wasatch County School District Community:
As you may know, Gov. Gary R. Herbert and State Superintendent Syd Dickson announced yesterday that Utah’s K-12 public schools will extend their dismissal through Friday, May 1. These agencies will continue to evaluate the situation to make a determination about the remaining school year.
During the dismissal, Wasatch County School District will continue to engage in online, at-home instruction. We commend both staff and parents for their ability to adapt to a new and evolving definition of “school,” and encourage you to continue to support your student’s education throughout the dismissal.
The school lunch distribution program will continue at Daniels Canyon, Heber Valley, J.R. Smith, Midway Elementary and Timpanogos Middle schools every school day from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. District students can pick up lunch at any participating school location.
We will still observe the scheduled Spring Break dates of April 6 – 10, and there will be no instruction or lunch program during these dates.
As a reminder, beginning Thursday, the WHS quarantine will be lifted. Students are still expected to follow the guidelines put forth by the Wasatch County Health Department to help our community stay healthy during this time:
- Avoid non-essential travel; stay at home as much as possible
- Make a conscious effort to maintain 6-10 feet spacing between yourself and others at all times when in public
- Minimalize in-person social contact/social engagement, especially indoors
- Try to shop at times when there are fewer people
- If you are able, contact your employer and ask about working from home

Como ya sabrán, el gobernador Gary R. Herbert y el superintendente estatal Syd Dickson anunciaron ayer que las escuelas públicas de Jardín Infantil a 12° grado de Utah extenderán el cierre de sus puertas hasta el viernes 1 de mayo. Estas agencias continuarán evaluando la situación para determinar cómo se procederá durante el resto del año escolar.
Durante el cierre, el Distrito Escolar del Condado de Wasatch continuará participando en la instrucción en línea en el hogar. Elogiamos tanto al personal como a los padres por su capacidad de adaptarse a una nueva y cambiante definición de "escuela", y los alentamos a que continúen apoyando la educación de sus hijo durante el cierre.

Proof of Immunizations
Your student will then take a reading test for 20-30 minutes
After the test you will meet with a counselor to create a schedule.
Schedule an appointment for the next day with our Digital Den
Meet with the Digital Den for a short training and if it is ready receive your student’s iPad.
Visit with financial secretary and pay student fees.
