Welcome to Mrs. Rodriguez's Webpage!
I was born in Salt Lake City, Utah and grew up on a dairy farm here in Heber City, Utah. My dad worked on the farm and was a High School Math teacher. My mother taught elementary school. I have an older sister and brother and a younger sister. Living on a farm, in my opinion, was the best way to grow up. We always had plenty of space to play, lots of milk to drink, and plenty of work to do. I was involved in many things. I took piano, voice, and dance lessons, ran cross country and track, was on the High School drill team, participated in school musicals, scholarship pageants and was active in 4-H were I participated in sewing, cooking and livestock projects. The money I saved from my sheep projects paid for my first Bachelor's degree. I graduated from Utah State University in 1999 with a Bachelor's of Music in Vocal Performance. I taught voice lessons for a year and also worked at a preschool until my fiancee graduated from the United States Air Force Academy. We were married in 2000 and our Air Force adventures began. We have added four kids and one cat and a dog to the mix and have lived in Italy, Texas, Ohio, Utah, California, Kansas, South Korea, and Alaska. I have taught voice lessons and have been involved in many aspects of music and the performing arts. In July of 2011 I decided to broaden my career options and return to school for another Bachelor's Degree. I graduated in May of 2014 with a Bachelor's of Science in Education in Health and P.E. from the University of Kansas. I love learning about health and fitness and love to teach others about it. For the past 5 years we have called North Pole, Alaska home, where I also taught music and PE for 4 years. Julio has now retired from the Air Force and we have returned to our beloved Wasatch County. I am so excited to be teaching 6, 7, 8 grade boys and girls Physical Education at Timpanogos Middle School!
