Dear 5th Grade Students and Parents,
Thank you so much for your hard work and patience over the past few weeks of distance learning. We miss you but are so proud of the work you are accomplishing. Please continue to check-in with your teacher if you have any questions or concerns. Remember to check out the May Do's provided as well!
We are introducing a new informational writing prompt this week. The essay will focus on Germs and how to protect yourself from germs. This essay will be due Friday May 1st. To be on track for this deadline you need to read the articles, outline your paper, and write at least your introduction and first reason this week!
This week we will be trying something new on OTUS. All OTUS assignments will now allow multiple attempts. It is our grade level expectation that you take advantage of these multiple attempts. We expect you to go back and try again if you have missed more than 1 question on any assignment. You will not be able to see your answers from your previous attempts, so please make sure you are showing all your work on a separate piece of paper. If you forget to show your work on a separate piece of paper, you will have to rework every math problem during your second attempt.
Have a wonderful week!
The 5th Grade Team
