Hello! My name is Janette Capson and I am so excited to be your 6th grade English teacher!

I am a Heber native, graduating from Wasatch High School many years ago :)

I am married to Steve and we have four children, Sydney, Cece, Sophia, and Stevie J. I love being a mom and spending lots of time with my family!

I have worked in Wasatch County School District for the last ten years, first as a substitute teacher in all grades and then as an instructional aide at Rocky Mountain Middle School. While working as an aide, I decided it was time for me to return to school to get my degree since I LOVE teaching middle school students!! I am happy to say that I graduated with my Bachelors Degree Interdisciplinary Studies K-8 from Western Governors University in April 2020. I started teaching during 2019-2020 with an internship in 5th grade at Old Mill Elementary and then last year I returned to Rocky Mountain Middle School teaching 6th grade Math. This year I have made the change to English Language Arts which is what I have a passion for and am thrilled to be teaching! I can't wait to jump in and have a great ride in English with you this year! I expect you to come prepared and always give your best effort because we can learn hard things and succeed TOGETHER!
