*blue notes are for DLI students

    Hello parents!

We are in our third week of online learning! We appreciate all of your support as we work on making this a seamless experience for all. This week students will need to go to OneNote, in OneNote they need to make sure they click on their name, under their name they will need to find the section called Week 3. Each day has a page with instructions and a page with work for the day. Parents please make sure your child uses some troubleshooting skills to complete their work.

    Troubleshooting tips:

    1. Make sure you read ALL the instructions on the instruction page.
    2. Try Everything at least 2 times before you ask for help, this includes logging out all the way and logging back in.
    3. Treat this as if it were a video game that you really want to play. Work that hard to get logged in and to make sure you can complete your work.

There are additional support videos on Old Mill’s Website under Week 3, then select 4th grade. These will most likely answer any questions you have about a particular website or assignment.

Additionally, we will be using Otus this week to complete one assignment titled Compare and Contrast. Please make sure your child completes all of the questions, and if they need to complete the assignment in more than one sitting, they should save and exit. Do not submit unless they are all done.

Finally, the last program we will be using is called Nearpod, students have this app on their iPads. This is a program we have used all year long, students are very familiar with it. They will need to type in the code given on the instruction page in OneNote to complete the assignment.

Nearpod is a student paced interactive presentation. There are two ways to login to nearpod.

    1.  Students can sign in by pushing the nearpod app on their i-pad.  nearpod  and then type in the teacher code or

    2.  Students can click this Nearpod Link and then type in the teacher code.

Codes are given on the instruction page in OneNote to complete the assignment.

There will be additional support for students who are in need of it. This additional support is found on Old Mill’s Website under week three and is called additional support. Please have your children reach out to their teachers using the Teams app if they need help. Thank you for your willingness to learn with us and support your children in our online learning efforts.

Each Monday, have your student check their OneNote under the teacher feedback page for the week. This is where teachers are going to put any notes or support that are specific to each student.

DLI kids have to enter their Onenote “Claseverde 2019-2020” or “ClaseAzul 2019-2020” and they will find there their assignments for this week.

    Sincerely,

     OME 4th Grade Team
