Mr. Jerold Baum
Hello there! My name is Jerold Baum and this is my 6th year at Wasatch High School as a special education teacher. My family and I have lived in the valley for a very long time. In fact, we have been here so long that I am a graduate of WHS along with my wife, Erin. We have three children two of whom attend school in the valley while the baby stays home. We also have two dogs which, with our children, keep our lives from becoming dull.
We have a lot of fun taking trips as a family going to the usual places like Disneyland but we also enjoy traveling to national parks and other historical sights. Things I enjoy doing include taking the dogs on walks and just being in nature. I also enjoy camping and dreaming of amazing sports cars I would like to own.
For school I have the privledge of providing academic testing for students receiving special educaiton services. I also help coordinate ACT testing for students with IEP, 504, and ELL classificaitons along with updating and coordinating the state requried civics test for seniors. I am happy to answer any questions when it involves any of this testing.
I teach a Transition class which emphasizes student ability to self-advocate as well as providing a time for students to work on assignments from other classes. I also have the opportunity to co-teach with an amazing English teacher, Mrs. Chelsey Nation. The link to this class can be found here. You will need to log into Canvas after clicking the links to view the course material.
