• Duke Distefano, Assistant Principal

    Duke Di Stefano Duke Distefano is a Heber City native and Wasatch High School graduate who earned a Bachelor’s of Science from Utah State University in Business Information Systems & Education, a Master’s of Professional Communication from Westminster College and a Master’s of Education from the University of Utah in Educational Leadership & Policy. He has worked in Wasatch County School District for 16 years, initially as a Business & Marketing Teacher at Wasatch Mountain Jr. High School for two years, followed by 12 years at Wasatch High School as Business & Marketing Teacher, Debate Coach & Student Government Adviser, 18 months as the District’s Public Information Officer, and three years in his current assignment as Assistant Principal at Wasatch High School overseeing the Alternative High School. He lives in Heber City with his wife, Kristen (a WHS teacher), and their two children, London & Anderson. Mr. Di Stefano says he’s proud to be a part of Wasatch because he loves “working with exceptional students and professional educators.”

    Mr. Di Stefano’s Educational Philosophy:
    “Education is a top priority. The fundamental purpose of schooling is student learning, and all children have the right to a quality education. An ideal school consists of a community of learners whose main focus is student achievement. The school is considered a caring community.  High standards are set, and high achievement is demanded.”
