Mrs. Tara Jarvie

Assistant Principal

Mrs. Jarvie is a native of Manila, Utah, where she graduated from Manila High School with a class of just 17 students. She received her Bachelors in Elementary Education from Dixie State University, and a Master’s in Education along with her administrative endorsement from Southern Utah University. Mrs. Jarvie has worked in education for 12 years, spending nine years in Washington County School District before joining Wasatch three years ago, where she has served as a Teacher Librarian, Reading Teacher and – most recently – an Instructional Coach, all at Timpanogos Middle School. She lives in Heber City with her husband of 18 years and their two daughters, Taylor and Peyton. Regarding Wasatch, Mrs. Jarvie notes that she appreciates the District is a tight-knit community with small-town values and access to opportunities traditionally found in large communities, adding, “Wasatch District is one of a kind; being part of a district that not only ‘Expects to Excel,’ but also provides the resources and support to do so, is incredible.”

Mrs. Jarvie’s Educational Philosophy

“Schools have the power to overcome barriers students may have or have been born into, in order to provide them every opportunity in life. Working collectively, we can ensure that every student achieves at high levels and has access to the college or career they desire for their future.”
