    Along with this week's numbers, we wanted to share a reminder that there will be a teacher workday on Monday, Nov. 30, following Thanksgiving Break, which means students will return on Tuesday, Dec. 1. This will give our hardworking and dedicated team of educators an additional planning day, as authorized by the state to assist teachers during this unprecedented school year.     Weekly COVID-19 Update from WCSD 11.13.20

    As we share this week's COVID-19 report for Wasatch County School District, we want to continue to remind students and staff to follow the protocols identified to help prevent the further spread of the coronavirus. That includes:

    *Stay home if you feel sick or have symptoms of COVID-19
    *Follow quarantine guidance if you are exposed to someone with COVID-19
    *Wear a face mask indoors and outdoors anytime you are within 6 feet of anyone from another household; This means you must wear a face mask anytime you are around people you don’t live with (per the governor's Public Health Order from earlier this week)
    *Practice physical distancing as much as possible
    *Wash your hands with soap and water often

    WCSD Statement on Extracurricular Activities - 11.9.20

    Per the State of Emergency and accompanying executive order issued by Governor Herbert on Sunday, November 8, all Wasatch County School District extracurricular activities, including practices, rehearsals and clubs, will be suspended for two weeks beginning today, through Monday, November 23.   • John Moss Inducted into the Wasatch High School Hall of Fame

    The Wasatch High School Alumni Association is pleased to announce that John Moss was the second inductee into the Wasatch High School Hall of Fame for 2019. Alumni, friends of Wasatch High School, and the entire community celebrated his induction ceremony on Thursday, Sept. 26 in the Commons Area of Wasatch High School. John also rode in the homecoming parade on Friday, Sept. 27, and was recognized prior to the homecoming football game that same evening.

  • Mr. Craig Jeppson Selected as an AGS Geography Teacher Fellow

    The American Geographical Society (AGS) announced Wasatch High School's own Mr. Craig Jeppson has been selected as a 2019 AGS Geography Teacher Fellow. As part of the recognition, Mr. Jeppson will attend and participate in the AGS Fall 2019 Symposium “Geography 2050: Borders and a Borderless World” in New York City on November 21 and 22.

    Wasatch County School District Board of Education Regularly Scheduled Meeting - Virtual Meeting

    Description/Agenda:
    Notice is hereby given that the Wasatch County School District Board of Education will hold their regularly scheduled board meeting on-line via Zoom, commencing at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 19, 2020. The Wasatch Education Center will not be available for public use during this meeting due to COVID-19 precautions.

    This meeting will be broadcast live at Wasatch-YoutTube.com and will be posted afterwards on the Wasatch County School District Website.

    PUBLIC COMMENT PROCEDURE -

    Submit a public comment request form, call 435-654-7752 or email stacey.moore@wasatch.edu prior to noon on Thursday, November 19, 2020.

    • During a virtual meeting you may request to speak during the public comment section. you can submit a form, call 435-654-7752 or email stacy.moore@wasatch.edu prior to noon on the day of the school board meeting to request meeting information. The contact information in the form will allow us to send you the secure meeting link and password to join. 
    • Approximately 30 minutes before the meeting you will receive a link in your email to enter the Zoom meeting (Zoom.com). We recommend you log in to the meeting at least 15 minutes before the meeting is scheduled to begin.
    • After clicking on the link to the Zoom meeting, you will be ushered into the meeting as an attendee. Upon entry into the meeting, your microphone will be muted and will remain muted until it is your turn to provide comment.
    • When the board president authorizes public comment, registered individuals will have the floor, and will one at a time be unmuted by the host. Attendee will be allowed 2 minutes for comment.

    All members of the public are invited to view.

    An executive session may follow the board meeting to discuss the character, professional competence, or physical or mental health of an individual; and the purchase, exchange, or lease of real property, collective bargaining and or matters of litigation.
