Hello, My name is Mindy Brooks and I have been working with students in my private violin studio for over fifteen years. For almost four years, I had the chance to become acquainted with many members of the community through music. In the Spring of 2018, I had the chance to begin working as a graduate coach at Wasatch High School in helping students achieve their goals towards graduation and I look forward to continuing these endeavors in my new position as a Special Education teacher.
Before moving to this beautiful valley, I worked with various students attending schools in the Alpine School District. There I had the chance to help prepare them for various orchestra auditions and adjudicated festivals. I thoroughly enjoy working with students in helping them achieve their very best.
In 2005, I recieved my BA in Music from BYU with a minor in Marriage Family Human Developement. I have always enjoyed learning about music, but I am also very passionate about psychology and the study of human development. While studying at BYU, I worked with missionaries at the Missionary Training Center in Provo. I enjoy spending time with my family, playing sports with my kids, and exploring the outdoors with my husband and children. My husband, Derek Brooks, also teaches, and the two of us look forward to working with your students.
