  • Old Mill to Sierra Leone: Students 4 Students Fundraiser:

OME Families we have an exciting opportunity for our community that we would like to share with you. The last 2 months of our school year we are focusing on building friendships and showing gratitude for all that we have. Mr. Carter will be teaching lessons in every classroom about these traits and we would also like to provide our students with an opportunity to practice what we preach.

For the month of April, Old Mill is thrilled to be a part of a project that will help build a sister school relationship with children and teachers in Sierra Leone, Africa. We are excited to team up with the Light of Love Foundation and help build a place of music and art education for these children. Every dollar donated will go directly to the project. The grade level that donates the most money will earn a rootbeer float party and the entire school will have the unique opportunity to skype children and teachers from Sierra Leone to be able to see where they live and who we are helping.

We are grateful to be able to pass on some of our good fortune to others and bring some global citizenship awareness to our youth. This is a parntership that we look forward to fostering in the years to come. For more information please watch the attached video, look for the flyer that was given to your student, or check out the link provided in the video. Come on Owls...get your gratitude on!!
