Notice of Election
Midway Elementary School Community Council
Notice is hereby given of the forthcoming nomination and election for parent/guardian representation on the Midway Elementary School Community Council. Seats are open for Four (4) parent council members who shall each serve a two-year term. Term of office shall run from August 22nd, 2017 to the end of the 2018 - 19 school year.
The Midway Elementary School Parent Teacher Association president will automatically be placed on the nomination ballot. Other interested parents/guardians must have a student attending Midway Elementary School at some time during the term of office.
School Community Council meetings will be held bi-monthly unless otherwise determined by the majority of the council. Meetings are generally held at 8:00 AM on the last Thursday of the month. Any parent or guardian who meets the qualification may become a candidate by contacting Mr. Thorne and completing an application.
Application dates will run from May 8th to May 26th. Voting will take place by secret ballot on May 30th at Midway Elementary School during school hours. Parents/Guardians who have a child at Midway Elementary may vote during the election.
