The Comprehensive School Counseling Program is an integral part of the students’ curriculum. During visits to classes, children will participate in guidance activities geared to help them enhance their learning and study skills through the use of character enhancement. Some of these presentations may include self-esteem, conflict resolution, ability to get along with others, solve problems, make decisions, and establish goals or other needs that we see our school is in need of.

In addition, we will be working with some students in small groups and/or individually, offering support or helping out those who might be experiencing emotional or behavioral with consent from parent or guardian. The Counselors are available for consultation with parents regarding problems, needs, and emotional developmental issues concerning your children.

Please feel free to contact us if we can be of assistance. School counselors and At-Risk counselors do not have the capacity to provide “traditional” therapy or long term counseling but we are available to help teach student’s life skills that help them manage life’s ups and downs. You may call 435-654-0550 or send us an e-mail at amy.watts@wasatch.edu or Jennifer.pinter@wasatch.edu. We certainly hope that this school year will be full of happy and successful experiences.
