The first term is already over and it feels as though we have only been in school for a couple of weeks. Our class has been doing so well and I am excited to see many of them taking the time to redo assignments or tests with a low score. It shows in the higher grades given this term. We have been working hard in math this last term to find the fun in story problems and it has really paid off. The whole class has started to do much better on math tests and we even look forward to the story problems.

Our Haunted Houses will be on display October 31st from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. We hope you can drop by and see them, they should be incredible!

In November we will be working on a number of smaller projects for science and social studies. We will be learning how to outline so that we can use this as a tool for learning important information and for a ways to study for tests. We have started to rotate for math as a grade level so that all of the students can benefit from the expertise of each 5th grade teachers.
