    Wasatch High School

    2017-2018

     

    The school needs to create a School Improvement Plan that incorporates the following components:  1.  Measurable performance objectives with baseline data.  2.  Action steps for each goal, activities, needed resources and timelines for completion.  3.  Identify responsible parties for completion goals.  4.  Create a process by which the SIP plan is regularly evaluated and the results/student learning progress is communicated to all stakeholder groups.

    Students will develop knowledge and skills in English, math, reading, and science that will improve their lives and allow them to contribute to family, local, state, national, and global communities

     

    Lag Measures

    1.  60% of students will score proficient on SAGE English 9 (38%)

    2.  60% of students will score proficient on SAGE Math 1 (31%)

    3.  60% of students will score proficient on SAGE English 10 (41%)

    4.  60% of students will score proficient on SAGE Math 2 (38%)

    5.  60% of students will score proficient on SAGE Earth Science (14%)

    6.  60% of students will score proficient on SAGE Biology (43%)

    7.  60 % of students will score proficient on SAGE Physicis (42%)

    8.  60% of students will score proficient on SAGE Chemistry (64%)

    9.  65% of students will achieve ACT English 18 benchmark (61%)

    10. 41% of students will achieve ACT Mathematics 22 benchmark (36%)

    11. 52% of students will achieve ACT Reading 22 benchmark (38%)

    12. 38% of students will achieve ACT Science 23 benchmark (33%)

    Lead Measures

    1.  Teachers will be experts of their course standards and objectives and teach to them daily

    2.  Teachers will be experts of their end-of-level assessments and regularly give examples in class like SAGE benchmark or ACT practice questions

    3.  Teachers will build assignments daily and tests regularly that are congruent to end-of-level assessments and know the proficiency of each student

    4.  Teachers will assign reading and problems from course textbooks daily and know the reading ability of each student

    5.  Teachers will compare CFAs with other teachers teaching the same courses and discuss best practices

    6.  Teachers will record student achievement in their gradebook and report weekly on SIS
